v1.5.1
v1.5.1 October 11th, 2024
New in the Activity
In this update, we dropped a ton of new miscellaneous stuff. These features compliment the rest of our app quite nicely & I'm excited for some other cool things coming soon!
Playlists
We now have playlists! Definitely a long awaited feature that I'm excited has finally arrived. Create playlists with names, descriptions, custom thumbnails, and then add the whole playlist to the queue with one click of a button. Playlists can also be made public so they'll show up on your profile, which means you can see playlists others have created & add them to the queue as well!
New Free Trial Test
We're testing out some new stuff that allows free users to add 20 songs to the queue before they're prompted to join premium. This is just a test, so this may change, go away entirely, become more or less restrictive, or any other thing experimental features go through! As always, feedback helps. Let us know what you think by joining our community.
Hosts Only!
Now your sessions can be a little more under control. Go to your session settings to be able to toggle on the "host only" mode, where only you can control what's playing.
Looping The Queue
In the same vein as the last one, turn on the loop mode in your session settings to have your queue loop forever! Now you can listen to those same few songs forever and ever...
Banning Time
More moderation controls! Now when people are misbehaving in chat, you can ban them through the "Host" button which you can also use to transfer ownership of a session. This removes them from the session forever! They won't be able to rejoin after this happens, so no need to worry about people coming back over and over again to ruin your public session.
Fixes & Improvements for Rythm
- Tons of performance updates! We've improved a lot of the UI elements and backend logic to make Rythm a lot more snappy.
- You can now see sessions on everyone's profiles and can join them if you're allowed to.
- Updated several areas where the explicit tag wasn't showing.
- And tons of other small fixes that make Rythm a little more polished.
We're testing a lot of new stuff here. If you find any bugs:
